The bowl has Monart's characteristic bottom, with a raised round pontil. The center of the interior bottom is slightly raised. This piece would be a fine addition to a collection of vintage European art glass.
Identification This vintage piece is unsigned Monart art glass, designed by Salvador Ysart and made at the Moncrieff glassworks in Scotland. Monart glass was produced from the mid 1920s until the late 1930s, and again from the late 1940s until the early 1960s.
The exact age of this piece is not known. Condition This piece looks good overall, with no cracks. There is minor roughness and flaking to the sides of the raised pontil area. The slightly raised center of the interior has wear scuffs, and there are fine scratches elsewhere to the interior. There is a bit of residue on the interior side which I have not cleaned. The edge of the base has wear scratches, as expected for old, heavy glass. Payments must be received within three days of the end of the listing, unless prior arrangements have been made. And international government regulations prohibit such behavior.
