Daum Large Rose Bowl #01672 Retail $1,980 Pate de Verre French Crystal NEW

This is a large Rose Bowl in Daum's beautiful Pate de Verre pink crystal with green accents. The reason you're seeing it here at a sizable discount is that it has had a very minor repair.

One petal on one of the flowers had a small chip. The petal was reshaped by a professional restorer.

I found it difficult to get the colors correct in all my photos. Look at photos number 5, 6, 7, and 8 to get a feel for what the colors really look like. It measures 10.6 inches wide by 3.5 inches tall and weighs 5.3 pounds.

Signed Daum France on the base, and guaranteed authentic. These are all our photos (except for the last one which is a stock photo). Since no two Pate de Verre items have the exact same coloration, no telling what the bowl you'd receive would actually look like. Comes with the original form fitted Daum box, also in perfect condition. This piece was hand made in Daums Nancy France workshops by skilled artisans. Pate de Verre items are created from a paste of different colored crushed glass particles. These are placed in a mold and then fired in a hot kiln for ten days.

The glass particles fuse together forming an attractive Pate de Verre item. No two Daum Pate de Verre items have the same exact coloration because the particles are distributed differently in the molds. The ancient lost wax process is used which enables Daum to execute designs that would not be possible with traditional press molding.
