A rare and stunning Venetian glass horse or hippogryph vase. This beautiful piece of antique glass forms into a large wavy cornucopia from the horses body/tail, in a gorgeous pink glass with gold honeycomb flecks throughout. Made by one of the great Venetian glass blowers either Artisti Barovier, Fratelli Toso or Salviati. The camera just cannot capture the sparkling colour tones as well as the eye does.

A truly fantastic piece of Venetian glass for the collectors. CONDITION: This Venetian glass horse vase is in very good display condition, the seahorse is missing a body, The horse would have had wings which have been smoothed out and the mane has also been smoothed over where the gap is, this would have been complete.

No cracks or other damage. This is a rare piece and unfortunately this fragile Venetian glass often suffers from losses or more major damage. The issues are noted for full accuracy and in no way detract from the beauty of this glass. This is the only UK service to offer protection for damage on ceramics and glass.
