Measurements: 5 " High 4 1/4" diameter This vase, we believe, was produced in Italy around the mid century. It is hand blown with a rough pontil. It is hard to explain this piece of glass. Photos do not do it justice.
It appears to have a rough texture, but it is rather smooth. Within the thickness of the glass are tiny bubbles that have a kind of volcanic appearance. Held up against day light, it comes alive.
It is a marvelous achievement in glass artistry. The Post Office requires this.
