Daum Roses Candle Holder Pink Green Pate de Verre French Crystal Mint Signed
This is a very nice Daum Pate de Verre Roses Candle Holder model #02666. Condition is excellent with no notable damage. I would be difficult to tell this apart from a new one. Comes with a votive candle that hasn't ever been used. We're also adding a battery operated LED artificial candle that flickers as a bonus.
Our last photo show how the candle holder lights up when the LED candle is in place. Measurements: H: 3.2" L: 3.7" W: 3.5, Weight 0.66 lbs. Beautiful translucent Pate de Verre crystal with shades of pink and green. Signed Daum France on the bottom.This piece was hand made in Daums Nancy France workshops by skilled artisans. Pate de Verre items are created from a paste of different colored crushed glass particles. These are placed in a mold and then fired in a hot kiln for ten days.
The glass particles fuse together forming an attractive Pate de Verre item. No two Daum Pate de Verre items have the same exact coloration because the particles are distributed differently in the molds. The ancient lost wax process is used which enables Daum to execute designs that would not be possible with traditional press molding.
