It is a Memphis-inspired James Van Deurzen studio art glass floriform vase/ sculpture. Studio art glass, it appears to have been blown in sections, cut, sandblasted, reheated and worked then fused. Artist signed and dated, etched on the bottom, James Van Deurzen,'83, #991. James Van Deurzen is an American Postwar & Contemporary artist who was born in 1952. Round base, slanted neck opening at the top, fun Memphis style.It is 12.5" tall, the top is 9" in diameter, the bottom base is 7.5 in diameter. Excellent condition with no noticeable damage.
