Outstanding large Murano block aquarium, Italian Art Glass. This beautiful large very heavy Murano aquarium from the 50's displays two beautiful fish swimming towards one another blowing bubbles, both are red and gold stripped with black fins with quite a lot of gold added.

Beautiful emerald green sea grass with pink and brown little speckled reef base. This aquarium block is quite large at 8.3'' in length x 4.5 in height and has 3 layers of glass, not 2, so the depth of the aquarium looks impressive with seagrass in the back layer, then the fish in the middle layer and then more seagrass in the front layer. It looks like one fish does not have an eye but the seagrass goes over that for the most part. Traces of an old paper label are on the bottom but nothing that i can read.

On one side on the right hand side under some lights on a certain angle you can see some heat marks from the manufacturing, I took a photo in dim lighting and was able to capture this in the 9th photo, I don't see it as anything negative being made in the 50s with this thickness of glass but worth a mention. I have taken many photos in different lights mostly the window ledge, then around different areas of my home. There are no chips or cracks or repairs, it is one very solid piece of Murano glass.
