A very rare Isle of Wight Glass Pink Swirls attenuated bottle vase. Hand made and signed by Michael Harris and circa 1973.

Michael started IOW Glass in 1972 (coming from Mdina Glass), and this piece is a very early piece. Pink Swirls was an early Isle of Wight experimental design which didn't go into production.

It's the shorter 36cm version of the attenuated bottle design - I'd guess only a few were produced. It maintains both early paper labels. It has an early broken pontil base. The signature reads'Michael Harris. Isle of Wight' - very hard to see and read.

Pink random swirls, with a hint of mauve, cased in clear glass, with some bubbles. Exaggerated long thin neck and wide rim.

Very good condition with no chips.
