Norman Stuart Clarke began his career at Nazeing glassworks in Essex, where he was dubbed'Master of the flames'. In 1978 he joined Peter Layton at London Glassblowing and began creating his own work, before moving to Cornwall to set up his own studio in 1983. In the early 2000s Norman and his Wife Lesley moved to France and then onto Bulgaria before moving back to Cornwall.
