I have 2 pair; this is the first i will be listing. These stunning art pieces for your ears measure 1.00 inch in length and 0.66 inches in width. They weigh 0.415 troy ounces total. They are signed "Sterling 14k Pardon" on the back of one earring. The posts are 14k yellow gold. Don't miss out on these rare and valuable earrings! Earl Pardon earned fine arts degrees from the Memphis Academy of Arts in Tennessee, his home state, and Syracuse University in New York. He served on the faculty of Skidmore College in Saratoga Springs, New York, from 1951 through 1989 with a brief break to work for Towle Silversmiths as the companys design director in the mid-1950s. Pardon is credited with promoting interest in art jewelry in the 1950s, both as an artist and teacher.

He never lost interest in fine arts and continued to paint and sculpt while learning to craft jewelry. He used enamel to impart color into his modern art jewelry in a way that was uniquely his own.

Working in New York, he became acquainted with other notable studio jewelers like Art Smith and Ed Wiener. Still, he opted to teach rather than seeking extensive commercial success with his jewelry output. Pardon died in 1991 at the age of 65, a few years after retiring from teaching. Today, several museums hold Pardon's work, including the Renwick Gallery at the Smithsonian Institution in Washington, D.
