Salviati Antique Venetian Art Glass Two Piece Compote

Turn of the century Salviati ruby quilted design compote infused with gold. The ruffled top edge has an enameled gold floral design all around the lip. This rare Salviati compote is enhanced by a tall top piece designed to match the lower section and it has two applied gold infused dolphins.

There is a metal cylindrical piece as shown in the photos that needs to be attached to the bottom piece to hold the top section upright with an adhesive. The measurements are 11 1/2" tall x 11" in diameter for the bottom portion and 15" tall x 4 5/8" in diameter for the top portion. The total height of the compote is 23 1/2 when the two portions are combined. Truly, a unique Venetian glass creation!
