Beautiful hand-blown art glass paperweight titled "Moon", from Glass Eye Studio's Celestial Series, signed and dated 1994. The Seattle studio has hand-blown glass art since 1978, and this piece features a satin-frosted, iridescent exterior that shifts between soft pink, purple, and gold tones depending on the light. Nestled within is an inner sphere featuring a dense, textured pattern of yellow floral murrine scattered across a mottled white, gray, and gold-flecked surface - evoking the cratered, dusty surface of a moon. The contrast between the smooth frosted outer shell and the richly textured inner sphere creates a beautiful layered, almost otherworldly effect. Signed "Moon 1994 GES" on the flat base, consistent with other pieces in the Celestial Series.
