Vintage 50s Flavio Poli Seguso Vetri d'arte Murano Sommerso Pink Curled Rim Vase. This striking art glass vase is a beautiful early Mid Century example of vintage Murano Glass. Created by Flavio Poli during his time at Seguso's Vetri D'arte whilst still developing and perfecting his newly divised technique of submerged glass, a technique involving overlapping different layers of glass allowing for diverse colour and consistency combinations.

This technique was to become known as'Sommerso' glass, a technique that contributed hugely to the aesthetics of the iconic art glass of the Mid 20th Century and beyond. This particular piece, a deep pink cranberry glass cased bud vase with asymmetric forked and curled over rim is a fantastic early Mid Century piece created by a master of glassmaking at the peak of his career and will make a striking addition to any collection or display! Just under 17cm in height, 8.5cm in length, 6cm wide at widest point, the opening has a diameter of just over 2cm and the Base is 3cm wide.
