Vintage Archimede Seguso Murano Glass Siamese Cat Pink Sommerso Large Signed Art

This beautiful glass cat figure, made in 1980s Murano, Italy and designed by Archimede Seguso, is an elegant piece of design and a stylish vintage piece for a modern interior. The weighty piece has been designed in the intricate form of a Siamese cat; the piece has been formed in a sommerso style with a light purple or mauve glass to the outside and a bright neon pink glass to the inside that forms the internal body of the cat and head. The tail, ears and feet of the figure have been pulled from the mauve glass; to the head is delicately applied eyes, nose and collar in fine ribbon glass. The underside of the base has the etched mark of'ARCHIMEDE SEGUSO MURANO [ITALY]'.
