All descriptions are provided in good faith. The Vintage Josef Hospodka heavy glass sculptured vase is a unique piece of art glass hand-blown by the renowned brand Chribska in the 1960s. Chribská Glassworks, known in Czech as Sklárna Chribská, is one of the oldest glassmaking operations in Europe, founded in 1414 in the town of Chribská, Bohemia (now part of the Czech Republic). It operated continuously for nearly six centuries until its closure in 2007. Chribská is celebrated for its vibrant, sculptural art glass, particularly from the mid-20th century.
A key figure in this era was Josef Hospodka, who served as chief designer in the 1950s and 1960s. His dynamic, freeform designs-often featuring bold colours and organic shapes-became iconic in the world of Bohemian glass. This vase showcases a stunning combination of pink, green, white, and clear colours, creating a striking visual impact.
Its vintage style and heavy glass construction make it a statement piece for any home décor, adding a touch of elegance and charm to any space. The vase is in good condition with no apparent damage.
