Vintage Schneider Art Glass Vase in Wrought Iron Frame French Art Deco

Charles Schneider rose-colored, hand-blown, vase in a wrought iron frame, circa 1920. Schneider etched into side of vase. Inverted baluster shape with flared rim. The iron mount has rings and straps into which the glass was blown. Height, 3.75" diameter bowl, 2.5" diameter foot.

1/2 chip on exterior of rim otherwise glass and frame in excellent condition. Schneider Glassworks was founded in 1917 at Epinay-sur-Seine, France, by Charles and Ernest Schneider. Art glass was made between 1918 and 1933. The company went bankrupt in 1939.

Charles Schneider and hissons opened a new glassworks in 1949. Art glass was made until 1981, when the company closed. Pieces are marked with the Schneider name, sometimes with a vase and.
