Vintage Steuben Art Glass Vase Description and Item Information Up for sale is this lovely, vintage Steuben art glass vase. Please excuse any glare in the photos. This piece is Rosaline (pink) glass cased over Alabaster (white) glass; it has acid-etched floral and leaf patterns.
The vase is approximately 6 7/8 inches tall, with a maximum width of about 7 3/8 inches. Unpacked, this heavy piece weighs 4 pounds 10.8 ounces. This spectacular vase would be a fine addition to a Frederick Carder era Steuben glass collection. Identification This unmarked, vintage Steuben glass vase is shape number 6078, and it is decorated with the etched pattern known as Floral. This example is Rosaline over Alabaster. Condition This vase looks very good overall, with no cracks. There is a tiny fleabite to the edge of the base, as is visible in the eight o'clock position in Photo 6. There is light wear overall. There are scratches beneath, as expected on a piece of heavy, vintage glass. The interior is clean and unstained. As made, to the pink rim, there are stretch-type marks in the glass where the white glass is visible; a few tiny bubble inclusions are also as made. As made, there are variations in the luster; the upper portion is generally less shiny than the lower portion.Payments must be received within three days of the end of the listing, unless prior arrangements have been made.
