Walther & Sohne Art Deco Pink 3 Graces Table Lamp with Pink Flame Shade 1934. This amazing frosted glass table lamp was given to me by an aunt many years ago.
She had owned it from new. German company Auguste Walther & Sohne in the 1930's, part of their'Drei Grazien' (Three Graces) pattern, and is featured in their 1934 product catalogue. It is highly unusual to find one where the colour of the flame shade matches the colour of the base. The flame shade measures 16 cm high, is 11 cm across at the widest point and the diameter of the bottom is 8 cm. There is a small chip to the rim which is concealed when the flame is attached to the lamp base.
The base is 25 cm tall to the bottom of the gallery and is 13.5 cm diameter and there is a small chip on the rim - again see photo. It's near the semi-circular recess for the wire so cannot be seen when the lamp is on a table. The gallery is silver coloured and is the one it originally came with. It weighs 1.6 kg without any packing materials. The gold coloured wiring and on/off switch are both original - all I did was get the plug changed. It works perfectly but it is always advisable with old wiring to get it safety checked.A fabulous lamp which used to look really classy in my art deco bedroom in my previous house.
