Signed Youghiogheny Art Glass Floral Paperweight, 2006. Substantial American studio art glass paperweight by Youghiogheny Opalescent Glass Company of Connellsville, Pennsylvania, founded by John W. The paperweight contains a beautifully worked dimensional flower with white petals shading into deep pink/magenta, surrounded by vivid green leaves and stems, completely encased in heavy clear glass. The exterior is extensively cold-worked and faceted, creating multiple optical views of the internal floral design as the piece is turned. Hand engraved on the underside. The Triggs signature appears to identify a member of the Triggs family associated with Youghiogheny Glass. The individual initial is somewhat difficult to read through the curved and faceted glass, so please review the detailed signature photographs.
